Part 1 :: LES FEUILLES MORTES
Creation: Peter James // Assistant: Patrick Lamothe
Part 2 :: LES MANDALAS DU DÉSIR
Création: Johanne Madore // Collaborator: Pierre Prysiezniak
The Annual Show presented by the students of the School has become a favourite pre-summer solstice ritual! Marvel at the remarkable talent of these rising young artists, who hail from the four corners of the globe to train at the internationally renowned National Circus School!
Two directors will create a two-part performance to showcase the very best in contemporary circus.
In Les feuilles mortes (Dried Leaves), Peter James borrows from poetry to deliver a history of love as told through characters in search of the absolute. Clamor, fury, rage and madness are expressed through stories of fear and darkness, light and life.
Les Mandalas du désir (Mandalas of Desire) by Johanne Madore throws the spotlight on a mathematician who attempts to create an equation for desire. His quest leads him through an enlightened analysis of gravitational force, magnetic collisions of atoms "in love" and chance encounters between unusual characters.
The National Circus School show: a rendez-vous where daring, creativity and enthusiasm become one thanks to the acrobat-artists of tomorrow's circuses.
